Hard Mahi - IV808 Explorer

Innovision Boat: IV808
Style: Explorer
Launched: 2020

“Nobody could believe how good Hard Mahi went with 2 x 150s on it, topped out at 41 knots, got up and planed on one mtr, still managed 27 knots on the single. She cruised up to 28 knots using 1.4l a nautical mile combined, didn’t matter if you had 2 people or 8 it still did that economy.

Super stable and could do easy 25 knots into a 2m ugly swelly wind whipped chop havin a beer without knockin your teeth out and had no trouble going down the swells with some biggies up your arse. I’m an ex commercial skipper an wanted a boat with the least amount of vices I could find an after testing multiple topline boats this was it.

I have since sold it and tested a 656 Innovision in the shittiest seas …which it excelled in all angles - rest, following, beam etc. and wouldn’t get away with what we did in anything else I’ve tested. I have ordered a 656 as wanted something a bit smaller to move around and handle on the roads up North.

I took out a few experienced skippers and fishermen in it and their first comment was, I feel like I’m gliding on air cruising speed, this is a testament to the very wide beam at the rear to give it lift and also great for stability at rest while the bow does the cutting in the important part.
