OBC Demo Day

On Saturday 29th May Innovision Boats held a demo day at OBC as a follow on from the Hutchwilco Boat Show. The weather was a bit average with 25 knot northerlies and wind against tide – perfect to show people how well our boats perform in some rougher conditions.

We had a great response with our 656 and 585 Explorer’s taking groups out non-stop from 9am-3pm. We already had a fully booked schedule at the start of the day and also got a few walk ups so we ended up doing more trips than planned. Our skippers didn’t even have time for a toilet break!

Simon said he had a pretty interesting moment when he was going under the Tamaki Drive bridge at high tide when a wave popped up and he almost hit the underdeck. He reckons he had it under control, but sounds like it was probably just luck on his side!

Thanks again to Erin and the OBC team there on the day, OBC is such a great location to launch from and has great facilities. We’re really looking forward to working with OBC more in the future.
